Class A Delivery Driver Hiring Event 09/02/26 - 9am - 3pm
Minimum $1,400+ per week for a 4-day work week with split days off. Shifts average 10–12 hours, dispatch between 12AM - 3AM based on assigned route.
About the Role
Food and food service delivery Drivers fulfill a critical role in the country's food supply chain. Our delivery drivers ensure customers' products arrive at their destination at the arranged times and in good condition. They also serve as the face of our company, building lasting relationships with customers.
The CDL-A Driver is responsible for driving a tractor trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight and drive-and-drop routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers safely and on time, in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations. Drivers communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and co-workers, answer questions accurately, and function as a team member within the department and organization.
Responsibilities
- Perform all required safety checks (pre/post trip), including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations and company safety standards; report safety issues and/or repairs required.
- Follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies; immediately report any safety hazards.
- Inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight; perform count checks of items and verify customer invoices.
- Complete all required paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly.
- Move tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed; ensure tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and/or secured at all times.
- Unload damaged goods and customer returns; bring to driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork and procedures at the end of the shift.
- Unload all equipment and materials, and remove trash from trailers as required.
- Comply with daily record-keeping and hours of service requirements, adhering to DOT, state, and company policies.
- Uphold overall safety standards and follow guidelines for the proper handling of freight throughout the delivery process.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
- 1 year of commercial driving experience.
- Valid CDL A license.
- Meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
- Pass post-offer drug test and criminal background check.
- Pass road test.
- Valid current DOT Health Card or ability to secure a new one.
- Able to hand-lift and utilize equipment (e.g., two-wheeler, lift gate) to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight (10–90 pounds) throughout the shift.
