About the role
We are looking for dependable, experienced, results-driven and customer-focused delivery drivers for distribution to retail stores and restaurants. This is a very physical job requiring a current Class A CDL.
Enjoy a 4-day work week with a long weekend every weekend.
Responsibilities
- Drive heavy “straight” truck, PUP or automobile over established route.
- Pad, stack and secure items in position on truck to prevent damage during shipment.
- Load and unload vehicles by hand or by use of hand truck, electric pallet jack or dolly.
- Rotate stock, lift and stack products inside customer premises.
- Help maintain or merchandise displays, shelves and cold-boxes.
- Provide excellent customer service on a daily basis.
- Collect proper payment for invoice at time of delivery.
- Record damages, changes and discrepancies on invoices at time of delivery.
- Meet or exceed all productivity standards.
- Interact with members of the sales and merchandising teams.
- Collect and return empty boxes for repackaging of product.
- Drive in a safe and lawful manner and maintain an acceptable driving record.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck and trailer.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License - Class A
- Medical Examiner’s Certificate - As required by the Department of Transportation
- Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)

Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Stand; walk; use hands and fingers, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.
- Frequently sit and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- Occasionally climb or balance.
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move more than 120 pounds.
- Regularly push, pull, and maneuver 180 to 250 pounds up and down inclines and uneven surfaces using a hand truck.
- Occasionally navigate stairs with a loaded hand truck.
Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
The employee occasionally works in outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.
