Class A CDL Transfer Driver

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Pick up raw materials as needed;
• Weigh in raw material when returning to processing facility;
• Responsible for company vehicle; keeps vehicle in clean condition;
• Credits all safety checks and inspections of vehicle;
• Operates vehicle under state, federal, local regulations and in accordance with company policy and procedures;
• Observes all company safety rules;
• Attends all safety meetings required;
• May be asked to serve on Safety Committee;
• Completes all company required paperwork in accordance with company policies (route tickets, driver vehicle inspection reports, accident reports, mileage reports, service forms, etc);
• Maintain and update vehicle condition report daily;
• Maintains DOT log on onboard computer.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age;
• Valid Class A driver's license with Tanker Endorsement;
• Must be registered on https://clearinghouse.fmcsa.dot.gov/

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle and general maintenance;
• Works well with others in a team environment;
• Dependable; reliable; ability to work nights and/or weekends as needed;
• Good math and communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Constantly required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch;
• Occasionally lift, push, pull, or carry up to 100 lbs;
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out in a commercial motor vehicle and plant environment.
