Class A CDL HAZMAT Truck Driver - $7000 Sign On Bonus

About the role
Operate a variety of heavy and light duty trucks/work equipment at customer sites, including vacuum trucks, cuscos, guzzlers, and roll offs. Perform driving and non-driving duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up, such as handling, segregating, packing, and inspecting chemical waste in accordance with Federal/State/Local regulations and company policies.
This position requires new hires to attend a two-week paid Academy training out of state (expenses covered by the company). After training, the role involves 50% overnight travel. A $7,000 sign-on bonus is available for candidates with a Class A CDL, unrestricted and endorsed with Tanker + Hazmat.
Responsibilities
- Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Operate commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed in a team atmosphere.
- Operate a variety of Class A trucks, including loading and unloading.
- Perform manual labor on-site to fulfill customer needs.
- Properly placard vehicles to meet Company and DOT requirements/regulations.
- Maintain daily logs, time sheets, and various reports.
- Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations and rules.
- Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT, local, state, and federal requirements.
- Observe all corporate operating guidelines and procedures, including environmental health and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned, including on-call emergency response on a rotating basis every other week.
- Handle site-remediation, equipment decontamination, and hazardous materials.
Requirements
- Valid Class A CDL, unrestricted.
- Hazmat and Tanker endorsement.
- Ability to operate a manual transmission.
- Ability to use various mobile devices.
- Perform physical functions as required by the job.
- Successfully complete a background check, drug test, and physical.
- Per OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard, 29 CFR 1910.34, employees in positions requiring respirators must meet facial hair standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Commercial driver experience.
- Previous Hazmat experience.
- Previous manual labor experience.
Pay
Starting pay: $32–$36 per hour.
