HPC Industrial, powered by Clean Harbors, is seeking a Class A CDL Driver / Operator with Tanker & Hazmat endorsements to join their safety-conscious team in the Youngstown, Warren, OH area. Transitioning military personnel are encouraged to apply.
About the Role
The Class A Operator ensures the safe and proper execution of HPC Industrial jobs across all service lines. This role involves supervising and completing single-task jobs with one crew and managing turnarounds with oversight at client sites, adhering to company policies and client requirements.
- Class A CDL with no restrictions; must be licensed to drive manual transmission
- TWIC card required (company will assist with obtaining)
- Travel within the region required
- Resfit required
- $7,500 sign-on bonus
Responsibilities
- Act as safety representative, ensuring compliance with company and customer safety policies and procedures
- Operate vacuum equipment, hydroblasting equipment, and special equipment such as Ultra High-Pressure pumps
- Energize pumping equipment, hydroblasting/chemical cleaning equipment, vacuum trucks, and cutting equipment
- Inspect cleaned surfaces for conformance to specifications
- Perform routine maintenance on company equipment
- Handle duties associated with liquid vacs, air machines, and jet rodders
- Direct a crew of vacuum technicians when required
- Transport equipment and personnel to and from customer locations
- Complete pre- and post-trip inspections, driver’s logs, and comply with DOT requirements
- Load and unload hoses; unload vacuum trucks at dump sites
- Provide general field maintenance
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Class A CDL License with no restrictions; must be licensed to drive manual transmission trucks
- HAZMAT and Tanker endorsements required
- TWIC card required or ability to obtain (company will assist)
- 75–100% travel within the region
- Availability to work variable shifts, including days, nights, and weekends
Qualifications
- Vocational preparation including classroom safety training, on-the-job training, and relevant experience
- Proficiency in English to comprehend safety training and respond to emergency instructions
- Experience operating vacuum trucks and emergency equipment (e.g., fire extinguishers)
- Working knowledge of wet and dry vacuum equipment
Pay
- Competitive wages: $30.00–$35.00 per hour (DOE)
- $7,500 sign-on bonus
