Transport Driver / Class A CDL Driver
Duties & Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, lowboys, and equipment trailers.
- Transport construction equipment, concrete forms, tools, materials, and supplies to and from job sites.
- Load, unload, and secure equipment and materials using chains, binders, straps, and other approved securement methods.
- Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and daily vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns promptly.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, inspection reports, fuel records, and delivery documentation.
- Cookordination delivery schedules with project managers, superintendents, dispatch, and shop personnel.
- Ensure compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
- Aid with loading, unloading, and organizing materials in the yard when transportation duties are complete.
- Operate forklifts or other equipment as needed (training provided if required).
- Represent Overman Concrete professionally when interacting with customers, vendors, inspectors, and the public.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support company operations.
Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
- Acceptable driving record and ability to meet company insurance requirements.
- Minimum of two years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Experience hauling heavy equipment and construction materials preferred.
- Strong communication, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
