About the role

As a Class A CDL Toter Driver, you will transport oversized and overweight loads, maintain accurate paperwork, and ensure the safe operation of all equipment. This role reports to the Terminal Manager and collaborates with Driver Supervisors, the Home Center Team, the Manufacturing Team, and Pilot Escorts.
Responsibilities
- Safely and effectively transport oversized loads within the region.
- Operate and maintain all equipment, including daily maintenance checks and electronic driver logs, to meet DOT compliance standards.
- Coordinate with Driver Supervisors and Pilot/Escort Drivers to secure daily permits and select loads for delivery.
- Pick up, deliver, and place oversized loads at appointed retail locations.
- Provide route information and best practices to the oversized load team.
- Return to the terminal with completed delivery paperwork in a timely manner.
- Perform end-of-shift/day clean-up procedures, including cleaning and servicing workstations and equipment.
- Report traffic accidents or load damages to local authorities and the driver supervisor team promptly.
- Deliver a world-class customer experience while over-the-road and during home deliveries.
Requirements
- Class A CDL with extensive driving experience and skills.
- Responsibility for transporting oversized and overweight loads.
- Ability to maintain accurate paperwork and ensure a professional appearance of all vehicles.
- Ensure all required permits are secured before delivery.
