Class A CDL Driver

About the role

Jabi Trucking Inc. is hiring Class A CDL dump truck drivers to join our growing hauling operations. Drivers transport a variety of construction materials—including aggregate, grindings, spoils, dirt, and asphalt—using dump truck configurations such as Super 10s, End Dumps, Super Tags, and Semi Bottom Dumps. The role involves operating in and out of plants, landfills, and construction job sites.

Jabi Trucking is a family-owned material transportation company headquartered in Williams, California. We provide end-to-end hauling services for public and private construction projects throughout Northern California, specializing in roadwork, paving, grading, and demolition support.

Responsibilities

• Operate various dump truck types (Super 10, End Dump, Super Tag, Semi Bottom Dump) and understand each vehicle’s operational requirements and handling characteristics.
• Transport construction materials efficiently to and from plants, yards, and job sites while adhering to scheduled pickups and deliveries.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily, documenting any issues to ensure safety and reliability.
• Maintain accurate logs, load slips, and daily time cards for compliance with legal and company requirements.
• Follow DOT safety standards and company driving policies to minimize risks during transportation.
• Maintain consistent communication with dispatch for routing and updates, providing timely feedback on delivery progress.
• Tarp, clean, and manage your bed and equipment based on material type and site conditions.
• Navigate job sites safely, adjusting driving to site terrain and traffic volume.

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
• Experience operating dump trucks (Super 10s and End Dumps preferred; training available for qualified candidates).
• Proficiency with 10-speed manual or automatic transmissions.
• Strong understanding of safe loading, dumping, and material handling.
• Ability to remain alert, focused, and professional during long shifts.
• Punctuality and responsiveness to dispatch communications.
• Ability to maintain paperwork neatly and on time.
• Comfortable working independently and navigating various jobsite environments.

Work Conditions & Physical Requirements

• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including heat, rain, and cold.
• Physical activity includes climbing in and out of the truck, raising the dump bed, cleaning debris, and using tarps.
• May involve long shifts, early start times, or occasional weekend work.
• Exposure to construction zones, traffic, plants, and landfills.

Pay

• Hourly compensation: $20–$26 per hour, based on experience and driving record.
• Extensive overtime opportunities available.
• Bi-weekly pay with gate-to-gate compensation (payment begins upon departure and continues until return).
