Class A CDL Driver

Role and Responsibilities

• Drives a 53’ truck for local, regional, and national pick-ups and deliveries of Company equipment.
• Checks and/or assists in the loading/unloading of the trailer.
• Inspects vehicle for proper and safe operating conditions before and after each trip.
• Maintains a E-log book and adheres to all DOT regulations.
• May require driving in adverse weather conditions.
• Requires overnight stays and overtime.
• Lifts cases weighing up to 100 pounds if they fall in the trailer.
• Uses forklift in the warehouse.
• Supports warehouse personnel with pulling of equipment, quality control, and restocking.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• MUST HAVE: Interstate (Class A) Commercial Driver’s License including cleared DMV report.
• Minimum of 30 months experience working in a full-time Class A tractor/trailer driving position in the previous 3 years.
• No more than two (2) moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No serious traffic violations while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three (3) years.
• No convictions for a DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol/drugs within the last ten (10) years.
• Current Medical Card.
• MUST BE ABLE TO OPERATE MANUAL TRANSMISSION - This is non-negotiable.
• Ability to pass a DOT pre-employment drug test.
• Ability to maintain DOT regulated Driver’s Hours-of-Service paperwork.
• Demonstrate a high level of professionalism and a positive attitude.
