Class A CDL Driver

About the role

This is a hands-on regional delivery driving position transporting and delivering building materials to customers, distribution centers, and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. The role requires safe driving, efficient material handling, and top-notch customer service in a "route truck/multi-drop" delivery format.

Responsibilities

• Deliver material in accordance with Federal regulations
• Apply knowledge of commercial driving and maneuver vehicle in difficult situations (heavy traffic, inclement weather, tight loading docks)
• Maintain records required for compliance with State and Federal regulations (driver logs, fuel purchases, mileage records)
• Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures, and comply with all safety regulations
• Answer customer questions regarding packing lists, invoices, packaging, and material content; direct to appropriate contact if unable to answer
• Perform thorough pre- and post-trip inspections
• Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment; report necessary repairs/maintenance immediately
• Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
• May perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience acceptable)
• 1 year of flatbed experience
• Clean driving record
• Willingness to strap flatbed loads
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continually, above shoulder height and below the waist
• Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Strong time management and planning skills
• Commitment to working safely throughout the day

Pay

Base pay starts at $28.00 per hour with an $8,000.00 bonus.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday with weekends off.
