About the role

We are recruiting for an experienced Class 2 HIAB Driver to join a busy and well-established builders merchants in Darlington. This is a long-term role delivering a wide range of building materials to both trade and residential customers, ensuring excellent service and safe handling.

Responsibilities

• Safe and timely delivery of building materials using a HIAB vehicle
• Operating HIAB crane (grab or hook) to load and unload goods
• Conducting daily vehicle safety checks
• Providing a professional and courteous service to customers
• Ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed accurately
• Adhering to all driving and health & safety regulations

Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence with 12 months experience minimum
• HIAB certification (ALLMI or equivalent) – essential
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Previous experience in a builders merchants or similar environment preferred
• Good customer service skills and a positive attitude
• Strong awareness of health & safety

Pay

£17.00 - £18.50 per hour
