About the role
Driver Hire Newark and Grantham are recruiting an experienced Plant Hire Class 2 Driver for a client in Newark. This is initially an agency position with the potential to become permanent. The role offers regular Monday-to-Friday work with no weekends.
Responsibilities
- Drive a Class 2 vehicle
- Deliver and collect various pieces of plant equipment
- Load, secure, and transport equipment safely
- Manoeuvre plant equipment on and off sites
- Carry out vehicle and equipment checks
- Deal professionally with customers and site staff
- Ensure deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
Requirements
- Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence held for at least 12 months
- Good understanding of plant equipment
- Previous plant hire or plant delivery experience (highly advantageous)
- In-date CPC qualification and Tacho cards
- Right to work in the UK
- Professional attitude and good customer service skills
- Reliable and committed to ongoing work
Schedule
- Monday to Friday
- 6:00am starts
- No weekend work
Pay
- From £17.75 per hour
- Daily overtime paid for hours worked over 8.5
