About the role
The Claims Specialist I at Mister Car Wash is responsible for managing and resolving accepted customer vehicle damage claims across the company's retail locations. This role ensures accurate claim review, thorough documentation, and timely resolution in alignment with company policies and operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage and resolve open claims until resolution
- Confirm claim acceptance or denial based on internal / field investigation findings
- Help field teams determine the most appropriate resolution for customer damage claims
- Receive, review, and compare customer-submitted estimates to ensure alignment with accepted damages
- Draft and send release agreements when appropriate as a claim resolution
- Book and maintain customer rentals during repair
- Maintain accurate and detailed claim records in the company’s tracking system
- Communicate with field teams, vendors, and support departments (AP, legal, etc.)
- Occasionally communicate with customers on approved claims via email
- Process improvement and compliance
- Support audits and reporting efforts by providing accurate documentation and insights
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in claims handling, customer service, or risk management
- Experience in a retail, automotive, or service-based environment preferred
- Car Wash experience preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and claims management systems
Qualifications
