Claims Specialist I

Aon is looking for a Claims Specialist I to help empower results for our clients by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting warranty and waiver requests for member-based programs. Responsibilities
- Answer incoming calls and make outbound customer service calls.
- Process warranty and waiver related transactions in a timely and accurate manner.
- Review and analyze necessary documentation to process warranty and waiver requests.
- Review daily follow-up status reports to prioritize and manage daily inventory to meet contractual service levels.
- Respond efficiently and accurately to customers, providing solutions and/or alternatives.
- Engage in active listening with the customer, confirming or clarifying information and diffusing situations as needed.
- Maneuver through various systems while engaging with the customer.
- Document details of customer’s inquiries and/or complaints and the actions taken to resolve their issues in a comprehensible way.
- Understand and strive to meet or exceed production and quality metrics while providing excellent and consistent customer service.
- Handle individual cases or projects from initiation to resolution, ensuring timely and effective outcomes.
- Handle and verify waiver claims by reviewing documentation and ensuring compliance with policy terms.
- Build and maintain relationships with consumers and patrons to enhance loyalty, satisfaction, and retention.
- Record and update data accurately and efficiently into databases, spreadsheets, or other digital systems to maintain data integrity and support business operations.
- Organize, store, and retrieve documents and records in a systematic and efficient manner to support business operations and compliance requirements.
- Utilize application software to create, edit, and manage documents, presentations, spreadsheets, databases, and other digital content to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Administer repository systems to ensure the secure, organized, and compliant storage of organizational records.
Requirements
- Minimum of 1-year experience in customer service or a like industry.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a virtual team environment.
- Ability to work virtually in an environment conducive to remote work.
Pay
The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $30,400 to $36,500 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
