About the Role

As a Claims Resolution Adjuster at Allstate, you will investigate automobile accidents involving bodily injury while working remotely from your home. You will assess coverage, liability, and damages, providing exceptional customer service through various communication channels such as voice calls, email, and text messages. Using innovative platforms and tools, you will engage in negotiation processes to reach fair injury settlements with all parties involved.

The role involves liability investigation, identifying injured parties beyond those listed at First Notice of Loss (FNOL), and recognizing impactful risk potential on claim files. You will support claimants throughout the vehicle restoration process and collaborate closely with Casualty Adjusters. This position is not available to residents of California, Washington, Alaska, Hawaii, or Puerto Rico.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate casualty and applicable line-of-business claims by performing detailed reviews of damage and interpreting policies to determine coverage.
  • Assess coverage, liability, and damages while providing exceptional customer service through phone, email, and text.
  • Engage in negotiation processes to reach fair injury settlements with customers, vendors, third-party carriers, and claimants, incorporating tactics for handling challenging and complex situations.
  • Utilize multiple tools, including estimate platforms, job aids, and settlement platforms, to efficiently resolve claims in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation of claims in the company’s claims system, adhering to policy agreements and protecting the company financially.
  • Support claimants throughout the vehicle restoration process and provide feedback on the auto claims process.
  • Work collaboratively with Casualty Adjusters throughout the claims process.
  • Incorporate customer communication preferences to efficiently discuss claim needs and provide updates on claim progress.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of claims experience, specifically in Casualty Bodily Injury claims.
  • Experience with claims investigation and negotiation is preferred.
  • Background in liability investigations, coverage assessment, property damage (PD) coverage, setting mechanism of injury (MOI), rental, and resolving liability is a plus.
  • Proficient communication skills, especially over the phone, to establish rapport and assess claims accurately.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate and negotiate injury claims successfully.
  • Remote home-based role requiring a dedicated, private workspace free from distractions.
  • Minimum internet bandwidth of 50 MB down/5 MB up.
  • Appropriate work surface and seating in your home office.

Schedule

8-hour shift, Monday through Friday, with options for either 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM. Potential Saturday duty rotation may be required.

Pay

Compensation for this role ranges from $20.77 to $32.67 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.

Sign-On Bonus

Eligible candidates may receive a $1,000 Licensing Sign-On Bonus if they possess the applicable active licenses required for this role, including Home Resident Property & Casualty License, Designate Home State (DHS) Florida or Texas License, and/or applicable Appraiser License. *Candidates who have previously worked for Allstate or its family of companies are not eligible for this bonus.*

Licensing Requirement

As a condition of employment, your office or area may require you to obtain an adjuster and/or appraiser license, which includes passing an additional background check with the Department of Labor. If applicable, you will be required to secure the license(s) within 60 days of hire. The Hiring Manager and Centralized Licensing team will assist you in this process.
