Claims Representative

This position is national remote, offering the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Process medical record submissions through various avenues.
• Manage cases from opening to receipt of medical records, including verification and management of standard turn-around times, or closure for NMR.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide exceptional communications with Providers.
• Maintain the ability to work in an environment with Protected Health Information (PHI).
• Understand and adhere to HIPAA privacy requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma / GED.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• 1+ years of customer service experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Word (create correspondence and work within templates), Microsoft Excel (data entry, sort/filter, and work within tables), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management).
• Ability to work full-time Monday - Friday during normal business hours of 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to work any shift within these hours and occasional overtime as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in a healthcare-related or healthcare claim industry.

Telecommuting Requirements

• Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure.
• Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy.
• Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service.

Pay

The hourly pay for this role will range from $18 - $32 per hour based on full-time employment, depending on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.

Schedule

• Full-time, Monday - Friday.
• Normal business hours: 8am - 5pm, with flexibility to work any shift within these hours.
• Occasional overtime may be required based on business need.
• Training will be conducted during normal business hours.
