Claims Representative

Responsibilities
- Support the coordination of communication among clients, claim examiners, insurance carriers, and captive managers.
- Respond promptly to inquiries from clients and internal teams, provide guidance on reporting guidelines and procedures, and provide support to the TPA Services team.
- Handle specialized tasks including completing escrow funding requests, overseeing Medicare reporting and NPDB reporting, managing daily credentialling and loss runs requests, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, reviewing defense counsel invoices, and making adjustments based on each client's litigation guidelines and overall contributing to the development of internal claim procedures.
- Support Claims Examiners and internal teams in executing client strategies to deliver value and efficiency, while processing client-requested changes accurately and documenting them properly.
- Build strong client relationships through clear communication and insurance knowledge, collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely service, and manage workload effectively to meet client needs and service goals.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in claims handling within an insurance agency, carrier, or TPA.
- A BA/BS degree in Business, Insurance, or a related field.
- Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Office Suite.
Qualifications
- Familiar with building strong client relationships through clear communication and insurance knowledge, collaborating with internal departments to ensure timely service, and managing workload effectively to meet client needs and service goals.
- Strong communication with Claims team members and provides timely and complete information to allow effective management of service execution.
Skills
- Processing and tracking claims by verifying information, helping clients by reporting claims per the client Special Handling Instructions, maintaining a high degree of data integrity in the system, and keeping communication clear and timely to avoid errors.
- Handling specialized tasks including completing escrow funding requests, overseeing Medicare reporting and NPDB reporting, managing daily credentialling and loss runs requests, ensuring compliance with reporting requirements, reviewing defense counsel invoices, and making adjustments based on each client’s litigation guidelines and overall contributing to the development of internal claim procedures.

Pay
The applicable base salary range for this role is $37,600 to $70,200. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
