Claims Representative
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Administer incoming member calls and emails for the Loan Servicing and Claims teams
- Document systems accurately with member requests, needs or actions be taken
- Provides assistance to members on basic questions or troubleshooting needs including educating and informing members on claims procedures through either through phone or email
- Effectively identifies members’ needs utilizing the highest level of member support and professionalism
- Redirects calls appropriately to the internal team member
- Affix transactions as needed
- Afford assistance with special projects as needed
- Participate in training activities to help support the Loan Operations Department as necessary
Education And Experience
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- Prior experience in personal insurance industry or with auto insurance is preferred
- At least one year of experience providing basic customer support or handling inbound calls
- Experience working in a professional office setting is preferred
- Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities: Ability to manage multiple systems at one time, strong communication skills and comfortable when managing communication channels, good interpersonal and customer service skills to be both fair and clear with members while remaining composed, friendly, and empathetic, attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, ability to learn and maintain proficiency in multiple computer systems including Microsoft Office products and Credit Union systems, ability to adapt in an ever-changing business environment
