Claims Representative 2-Crop
About the role
Crop Claims Reps investigate and maintain crop claims by inspecting crops, evaluating damages and determining the amount of loss. They determine liability, secure information, review coverages, arrange property damage appraisals, and settle claims. Territory: Coles/Douglas/Edgar/Crawford.
Responsibilities
- Investigates crop claims by determining applicable policy coverage, evaluating, negotiating, and settling assigned claims.
- Initiates first and subsequent contacts with insureds and all relevant parties to gather basic information and explain the claims process.
- Completes physical inspections of crop claims, evaluates damages, and prepares written estimates according to policy provisions.
Requirements
Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience or a combination of related experience, education, and training. Must live in or around the following Illinois counties: Coles/Douglas/Edgar/Crawford.
Qualifications
Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay
$55,200 - $75,900 annually.
Schedule
Full-time, Monday through Friday, with some evening and weekend work required.
