Claims Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a talented individual to join our team at Torrent. This role will be based in Kalispell, or can be performed Remotely Nationwide. This position provides administrative and operational support to the litigation function by coordinating the handling of litigated claims, subpoenas, official complaints, subrogation requests, and audit-related activities.

Responsibilities

• Cooking onboarding of new litigation matters, including confirming assignment, notifying stakeholders, distributing claim documentation to defense counsel, and identifying applicable policies and coverages.
• Maintaining accurate litigation files, case tracking systems, and related documentation, ensuring records are complete, organized, and accessible.
• Processing monthly litigation invoices, including onboarding, review, filing, FEMA submission, status tracking, and coordination of payment issuance.
• Aiding in the development, implementation, and maintenance of standard operating procedures, templates, and correspondence for litigation and claims coordination.
• Serving as a liaison among legal teams, finance, external agencies, clients, underwriters, and other parties to support efficient communication and compliance.
• Supporting audit preparation by organizing, compiling, and submitting requested documentation and reports within required timelines.
• Reviewing claims reports, documentation, and system information for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established service standards.
• Monitoring deadlines and incoming communications, prioritizing workload, following up on missing documentation, and conducting research to support claims analysis and resolution.

Requirements

Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to maintain confidentiality and use sound judgment when handling sensitive information
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to independently identify, manage, and prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience
Prior claims experience, including experience in claims or insurance litigation
NFIP experience

Pay

The applicable base salary range for this role is $48,000 to $102,400. The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis.

Schedule

All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one “anchor day” per week on which their full team will be together in person.
