About the Role

The Claims Process Coordinator supports insurance administration and claims management, ensuring claims are processed accurately and efficiently from intake through resolution. This role coordinates communication among internal teams, insurance carriers, adjusters, vendors, and third-party administrators while maintaining accurate documentation and incident records. The position contributes to effective risk management and helps protect the organization’s operational integrity.

Responsibilities

  • Review incoming insurance claims for completeness, accuracy, and required documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve claim-related inquiries.
  • Manage claims throughout the entire process through resolution.
  • Communicate with insurance carriers, adjusters, vendors, and third-party administrators.
  • Track and document claim status, costs, action items, and resolution details.
  • Escalate complex or sensitive claims to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update incident and claim information in incident reporting systems.
  • Collaborate with safety teams to ensure consistent and accurate incident documentation.
  • Assist with reporting on claim trends, costs, statuses, and other relevant metrics.
  • Manage certificates of insurance and related documentation.
  • Support insurance documentation requests and policy-related inquiries.
  • Monitor and manage the shared claims and insurance email inbox.
  • Respond to routine inquiries and ensure timely follow-up.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, risk management, insurance, compliance, or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in insurance claims, claims administration, or a related role.
  • Experience with incident reporting systems or claims management platforms preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple claims, priorities, and deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and email management.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Proactive problem-solving and follow-through skills.

Pay

Salary range: $70,000–$85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
