Claims Clerk

This position is not eligible for employer sponsorship and is a fully onsite role located in Omaha, Nebraska. Candidates are expected to complete all interviews and assessments independently without the use of artificial intelligence tools.

About the role

Repwest Insurance Company is seeking a full-time Claims Clerk to provide administrative assistance to our Claim Department in Omaha, NE. We offer a strong promotional path for hardworking individuals.

Responsibilities

• Complete activities auto-populated in our claim system based on the reported claim type.
• Order police reports from various jurisdictions for claims.
• Send acknowledgement letters to customers and claimants.
• Call clients about damaged equipment and obtain photos of damaged equipment.
• Send letters via regular and certified mail as directed by adjusters or supervisors.
• Research new mail or emails in our claim system to check if the claim has been previously reported.
• Answer telephone calls for both inter-office and outside callers.
• Upload new mail and emails into the claims file electronically.
• Assist co-workers, adjusters, and other departments as needed.
• Issue checks to vendors.
• Create vendor codes for new vendors in our claim system.
• Provide additional support and research for special projects as requested by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Outlook Email system.
• Strong logic and reasoning skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Attention to detail and above-average verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and diffuse difficult callers.
• Positive attitude.
