Job Responsibilities
Accurately file claimant specific information into the DocuWare system with oversight and manager interaction when needed.
Accurately inputting Paid Family Leave and Disability claims into the system with oversight and manager interaction when needed.
Supporting multiple incoming faxes.
Supporting multiple incoming/outgoing emails with oversight and manager interaction when needed.
Maintaining adherence to all department standards (policies, procedures, schedules, and assignments).
Responsible and accountable for maintaining and protecting personal health information. Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and abide by HIPAA rules and regulations.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma, or equivalent, required.
- Spanish language skills are a plus.
- Ability to handle confidential information with the utmost judgment and discretion.
- Type at least 40-wpm.
- Demonstrate prioritization and organization skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment.
Qualifications
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods of time, frequently stand, walk distances up to one mile, bend, crouching, kneeling, reaching, occasionally lift 25lbs, extensive typing, picking up and holding small objects, and otherwise use primarily the fingers rather than the entire hand.
- Visual acuity sufficient to perform activities such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing notes; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
- Hearing sufficient to understand verbal instruction and answer telephones.
