About the Role
Spiro is hiring an experienced carpenter/cabinet maker to join our production team in Hebron, KY. The Carpenter 2 position works in partnership with production management to deliver a best-in-class product, focusing on carpentry-related tasks in the fast-paced environment of a trade show exhibit house where deadlines cannot be missed. This role involves producing and refurbishing trade show exhibit components.
Responsibilities
- Laminating exhibit and display components
- Work from scaled drawings to produce components or complete component assemblies
- Construction and refurbishment of exhibit, retail, and permanent structures using materials such as plywood, MDF, acrylic, and metal
- Installation of lighting, audio visual, and graphic components in accordance with the design and construction drawings
- Assembly and installation of custom structures in tradeshow, retail, or corporate environments
- Customization and interior packing of crates
- Use hand tools and power tools safely
- Perform cycle counts of raw material inventory when assigned
- Organize and maintain a clean/safe warehouse and follow company safety guidelines
- Respect and properly maintain company equipment
- Maintain communications in a cooperative, respectful, and professional manner with all levels of staff and customers
Qualifications
- Manual dexterity, mechanically inclined
- Experience in cabinet building, woodworking furniture, carpentry, or retail store fixtures
- Experienced user of woodworking saws, power tools, and hand tools
- Experience working with high-pressure plastic laminates
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends during peak seasons
- Forklift experience (will certify once hired)
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines
- Ability to work independently once given assignment
- Ability to read and follow work order details thoroughly
- Ability to follow directions and respect supervision
- Ability to communicate openly, honestly, and constructively
- Basic computer skills a plus
- Knowledge of CNC setup, machining, and operation a plus

Measure of Success
- By 30 days, incumbent should understand team dynamics and perform basic job functions independently
