Civil Superintendent
Location: Reeves County, TX • Full-time • Immediate start
About the role
The Civil Superintendent directs site employees, manages contracts, and provides on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects. You will develop work plans for foundations—excavation, backfill, and dewatering—and monitor progress against engineering drawings. Relocation to the project area is required; future projects may also require relocation.
Responsibilities
- Study specifications to plan construction procedures, start/completion timelines, and staffing needs for each phase.
- Coordinate scheduling, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
- Collaborate with the Safety Coordinator to verify that equipment operators are properly trained and qualified.
- Perform daily planning and reporting of quantities.
- Ensure foundations and anchor bolts are installed per engineered drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with other discipline superintendents for underground utility installation.
- Oversee concrete, soils, and excavation work to meet project specifications.
- Document as-builts, excavations, and underground utility relocation/repair.
- Notify “Dig-Safe” or similar agency before excavation begins.
- Submit all required documentation to the QA/QC department for turnover books.
Requirements
- Minimum 4 years of construction experience as a Civil Superintendent.
- Knowledge of construction best practices.
- Previous experience on power plant, industrial, or renewable energy construction sites preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe.
- Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
