Responsibilities
As a member of our engineering team, you will engage in meaningful and impactful work, including:
- Detailed analysis and design of critical structures and components, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory requirements such as seismic and environmental standards.
- Evaluating proposed plant modifications to uphold safety and compliance.
- Preparing technical reports, design calculations, and specifications, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Collaborating across disciplines with professionals from various engineering fields.
- Leading design initiatives, developing project scopes, and producing engineering estimates.
- Innovating solutions for complex technical challenges.
- Participating in field operations, including travel, site walkdowns, field installations, and system start-ups.
- Leading and motivating teams to achieve ambitious goals.
Requirements
This posting covers a range of internal levels. Minimum qualifications for our mid-level position include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with design of civil structural systems.
- Experience in one of the following industries highly preferred: engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial (including chemical or pulp & paper), and government (DOE) projects.
- Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work as an individual contributor and in teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
Senior Engineers typically have 7 years of post-graduate experience, while Principal Engineers typically have 10 years of post-graduate experience.
Some roles may require U.S. citizenship due to federal contract requirements.
Pay
Compensation range: USD $90,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity.
