Responsibilities
As a vital member of our engineering team, your work will involve meaningful challenges and impactful contributions, such as:
- Performing detailed analysis and design of critical structures and components.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure designs meet safety and regulatory requirements, including seismic and environmental standards.
- Evaluating proposed plant modifications to uphold safety and compliance.
- Preparing in-depth technical reports, design calculations, and specifications.
- Communicating findings effectively to key stakeholders.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Collaborate Across Disciplines: Work seamlessly with professionals from various engineering fields to ensure smooth coordination and integration of designs.
- Lead Design Initiatives: Develop innovative design studies, craft comprehensive project scopes, and produce accurate engineering estimates.
- Innovate Solutions: Tackle complex technical challenges with creative problem-solving strategies.
- Engage in Field Operations: Travel for site walkdowns, oversee field installations, and support system start-ups.
- Inspire Teams: Lead by example, motivating teams to achieve ambitious goals with a positive, results-driven attitude.
Requirements
This posting covers a range of internal levels. Minimum qualifications for our mid-level position are:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil and/or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with design of civil structural systems.
- Experience in one of the following industries highly preferred: engineering/design services, power generation, nuclear power, heavy industrial (including chemical or pulp & paper), and government (DOE) projects.
- Good writing, presentation, and communication skills.
- Ability to be an individual contributor and work effectively in teams.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
Some roles may require U.S. citizenship due to federal contract requirements.
Senior Engineers typically have 7 years of post-graduate experience in a related role. Principal Engineers typically have 10 years of post-graduate experience in a related role.

Pay
Compensation Range: USD $90,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 per year.
Actual compensation will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. Some positions may be performed remotely in one or more U.S. states. Compensation reflects expected pay at the time of posting and aligns with applicable pay transparency requirements.
