Civil/Structural Designer (BIM/Revit Modeler)

About the role

At The Shaw Group, we design and deliver innovative industrial solutions through a collaborative, multi-discipline engineering approach. As a Civil & Structural Designer, you will play a critical role in developing 2D and 3D design deliverables that support modular steel structures, piping systems, electrical components, and equipment foundations.

Responsibilities

• Provide design guidance
• Define scope
• Respond to communications
• Maintain cross-discipline coordination
• Perform self-checks
• Create 3D models and 2D drawings
• Create material take-offs
• Optimize designs for layout and transport

Requirements

• 10-15 years experience
• HS diploma or drafting certificate
• Advanced AutoCAD
• Advance Steel Plant 3D, Navisworks skills
• Knowledge of AISC/ASME/PIP/OSHA
• Proficiency with MS Office and PDF tools

Qualifications

Location: Tyler, Texas
Approximately 10% travel
