Civil Structural Designer

About the role

C&I Engineering is looking for a Civil Structural Designer to join their team in Salt Lake City, Utah. This position is part of the Civil/Structural team responsible for developing designs for structural layouts in facilities like refineries, distilleries, and consumer packaging facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares design packages, including construction scope of work, for complex projects that meet design intents and customer expectations.
• Identifies and obtains information needed from and by other departments for coordination purposes.
• Uses software to develop 3D models of structures used in industrial facilities.
• Prepares structural steel and reinforced concrete design drawings.
• Works with other departments to ensure project is completed.
• Communicates with the engineers to coordinate plans.
• Reads documents, specifications, reports, and other materials to ensure work is accurate.

Requirements

• 2-year technical degree with a specialization in computer-aided drafting and design, along with a minimum of 10 years of related experience.
• Driver’s license.
• Ability to travel up to 10%.
