Job Summary/Purpose
Solves plant issues and acts as a liaison between engineering team and other station departments. Maintains configuration control for the plant.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
- Supports Maintenance, Operations, and other organizations on site in resolution of plant issues which stem from significant events or complex plant equipment problems
- Maintain Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualifications and duties
- Interfaces with Maintenance and Operations for cost effective maintenance strategies
- Issues engineering changes (Design changes and temporary modifications) to support emergent plant issues and equipment reliability issues
- Helps support planning and prioritization aspects of project life cycle
- Implements action plans of senior team members to address deficiencies via the corrective action and work management processes
- Serves on outage engineering support teams
- Attends training and maintains qualifications necessary to perform required group functions
Minimum Requirements
- B.S. Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree generally associated with power plant operations in the field of civil and structural design or equivalent work experience
- Civil, Structural, and Piping experience
- Experience with codes and standards (ie; IWE/IWL , ASME, Piping)
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required
- Identifies and resolves plant issues and acts as a liaison between engineering team and Operations and Maintenance departments
Desired
- SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR
- Professional Engineering license
