Job Summary/Purpose

Solves plant issues and acts as a liaison between engineering team and other station departments. Maintains configuration control for the plant.

Job Duties/Responsibilities

  • Supports Maintenance, Operations, and other organizations on site in resolution of plant issues which stem from significant events or complex plant equipment problems
  • Maintain Emergency Response Organization (ERO) qualifications and duties
  • Interfaces with Maintenance and Operations for cost effective maintenance strategies
  • Issues engineering changes (Design changes and temporary modifications) to support emergent plant issues and equipment reliability issues
  • Helps support planning and prioritization aspects of project life cycle
  • Implements action plans of senior team members to address deficiencies via the corrective action and work management processes
  • Serves on outage engineering support teams
  • Attends training and maintains qualifications necessary to perform required group functions

Minimum Requirements

  • B.S. Degree in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or other engineering degree generally associated with power plant operations in the field of civil and structural design or equivalent work experience
  • Civil, Structural, and Piping experience
  • Experience with codes and standards (ie; IWE/IWL , ASME, Piping)

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required

  • Identifies and resolves plant issues and acts as a liaison between engineering team and Operations and Maintenance departments

Desired

  • SRO license or certification on a PWR or BWR
  • Professional Engineering license
