Engineer I Civil/Structural - Nuclear
Responsibilities
Successful candidate will be relied upon to perform a variety of engineering and design activities involving power plant upgrades and/or new power plant projects under the supervision of senior engineering staff.
Individual will assist with performing calculations, modifications, and designs.
Individual must possess technical knowledge of civil/structural discipline and ability to work on project teams with other engineers to assist in evaluating conditions and developing design changes which will improve plant performance, safety, and reliability.
Qualifications
- Education Required (minimum): BS in civil (structural) engineering from an accredited engineering program.
- Experience Required (minimum): Demonstrated knowledge of industry codes including ACI, AISC and ASCE 7 is required.
- Other Required Qualifications (minimum): Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Office software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint; effective time management skills; ability to pass security and drug screening and maintain unescorted nuclear plant access; ability to perform walk downs of equipment in an industrial plant environment, to include climbing ladders, accessing security-controlled areas, and entering confined spaces and controlled hazardous areas.
Benefits
Overtime work is required at times. Travel is required to client sites with periods of field/office work.
Schedule
Position may involve working on several projects concurrently.
Pay
Salary is commensurate with experience.
