What You'll Do
- Aid in preparing engineering drawings, design layouts, and construction documents.
- Perform basic engineering calculations for grading, drainage, and utilities.
- Conduct field investigations, collect measurements, and document site conditions.
- Prepare technical reports and design documentation for review.
- Apply established engineering standards, guidelines, and project requirements.
- Maintain and organize project files, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Participate in project meetings and coordinate assigned tasks with team members.
What You'll Bring
- Pursuing BS or MS in Civil Engineering or other related field from accredited program.
- Experience with AutoCAD and Excel software is preferred.
- Experience with transportation and bridge related projects or internships is preferred.
- 2.7 GPA strongly preferred.
- Finished at least two years of school.
- Prior Internship is and/or related experience is a plus.
- Involvement in campus, community, and other volunteer activities and/or organizations.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment
- Ability to sit, stand, walk around the office for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
Travel
- Ability to travel as needed based on job level and expertise for project site & field visits, conferences, training, and professional outings.
- Occasional day trips or overnight travel may be required, including other GBA offices.
