About the role
Bolton & Menk is seeking an experienced Aviation Engineer/Project Manager to join our team in the Southeast region. This position offers the opportunity to work with a talented team and contribute to the communities we serve.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the design and construction management for airport projects including runways, taxiways, aprons, fuel systems, vertical infrastructure, NAVAIDS, etc.
- Manage budgets and schedules for assigned airport projects and assist with marketing future clients.
- Serve as a client contact to airport boards and commissions as assigned.
- Manage planning, scheduling, and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction.
- Prepare and review preliminary reports and feasibility studies.
- Perform business development activities, including client needs research, proposal preparation, etc.
- Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff.
- Aid in the training and development of professional and technical staff.
- Develop relationships with regulatory agencies.
- Travel to work sites and other project-related locations as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university.
- Licensed Professional Engineer.
- 5+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including airport infrastructure.
- Experience with client relationship management and business development.
- Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and project management skills.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.

- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices.
- Experience with airport infrastructure design and construction.
