About the role

The Project Engineer I supports project management activities by providing technical and administrative support throughout the project’s lifecycle. This role involves assisting with project planning, design, and execution while gaining hand-on experience in best engineering practices and project management.

Responsibilities

  • Aid in the development of projects plans, including the scope of work, timeframe, and budget.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Aid in the design and development of engineering solutions, including drafting and drawings.
  • Conduct inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
  • Conduct research and analysis to support project design and development.
  • Ensure the design and engineering work complies with industry standards and regulations.
  • Aid in the preparation and evaluation of proposals.
  • Ensure the projects comply with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Prepare and/or present progress reports, including updates on project status.
  • Stay up to date with engineering technology and industry standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software’s platforms.
  • AutoCAD experience is a plus.
  • Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
  • Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.

Qualifications

  • B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
  • 0-2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience
  • EI/EIT Certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire
  • Basic knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and industry standards

Pay

Compensation dependent upon experience.
