About the role
The Project Engineer I supports project management activities by providing technical and administrative support throughout the project’s lifecycle. This role involves assisting with project planning, design, and execution while gaining hand-on experience in best engineering practices and project management.
Responsibilities
- Aid in the development of projects plans, including the scope of work, timeframe, and budget.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, including reports, drawings, and specifications.
- Aid in the design and development of engineering solutions, including drafting and drawings.
- Conduct inspections and quality control to maintain high standards.
- Conduct research and analysis to support project design and development.
- Ensure the design and engineering work complies with industry standards and regulations.
- Aid in the preparation and evaluation of proposals.
- Ensure the projects comply with engineering standards, regulations, and quality requirements.
- Prepare and/or present progress reports, including updates on project status.
- Stay up to date with engineering technology and industry standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook and familiarity with Deltek Vision and Smartsheet or similar software’s platforms.
- AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Ability to exercise critical thinking and good independent judgement.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively multi-task and work on multiple projects while adhering to project schedules and budgets.
- Detail oriented, quality conscious, reliable and self-motivated.
Qualifications
- B.S. in Civil Engineering or related field
- 0-2 years of experience in a similar role or relevant internship experience
- EI/EIT Certification or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire
- Basic knowledge of engineering principles, project management, and industry standards
Pay
Compensation dependent upon experience.
