About the role

Bolton & Menk has an exciting opportunity for a Project Engineer, PE to join our Land Development team in our Charlotte office.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the management planning, scheduling and performance of multiple engineering projects and personnel, both design and construction
  • Work closely with Project Managers in understanding client needs and expectations
  • Review and/or prepare preliminary reports and feasibility studies
  • Read and interpret engineering plans, specifications and reports
  • Provide technical advice regarding design, construction or modification and repairs to clients, contractors and other staff members
  • Aid in business development activities (client needs, research, proposals, etc.)
  • Coordinate construction administration and monitor documentation requirements with field staff

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of North Carolina OR ability to obtain within two months
  • 4+ years' progressive experience in the civil engineering field, including experience working with land development
  • Experience in plan and specification development with construction contract administration
  • AutoCAD Civil 3D proficiency
  • Possess a valid drivers license as travel to various facilities and job sites may be required

Qualifications

  • Must be able to pass a background check

Skills

  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Pay

Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications

Full-time, Monday-Friday, with some travel required
