About the Role

Parkhill is seeking a professional civil engineer with a specialization in site development to join our team in Fort Worth, Texas. This full-time, exempt position is paid on a salary basis and offers an opportunity to enhance design skills while working on a diverse range of site development projects.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership and management of engineers and technicians.
  • Technical supervision and design in pavement, utilities, grading, site elements, and drainage.
  • Client development and management, including relationships, financial accounting, and responsiveness.
  • Familiarity with local zoning ordinances, subdivision regulations, and other design criteria.
  • Manage demands of in-house and external surveying support.
  • Community involvement, including active participation and leadership in civic, technical, and professional organizations.
  • Develop proposals, scopes, fees, and track performance.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with City departments.
  • Presentations at hearings, Commissions, and Council meetings.

Project types include:

  • Site Design for Office, Retail, Industrial, and Institutional Buildings
  • Residential Subdivisions from Land Acquisition to Finished Lots
  • Municipal Roadway, Drainage, and Planning projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • Professional engineer registration in Texas.
  • 4 years of experience in the responsibilities listed above.

Additional desirable experience includes:

  • Plans production and management of tasks such as:
    • Entitlements (Platting, Zoning, Municipal Permitting)
    • Site Planning and Development Master Planning
    • Grading and Drainage Design
    • Street and Alley Design
    • Site Design
    • Water and Wastewater Design
    • Hydrology and Hydraulics Analysis and Design
    • General Civil Design
    • Construction Management
  • Software proficiency: AutoCAD Civil 3D and ArcGIS.
  • Experience with SWP3s.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills for interacting with clients, staff, municipal authorities, vendors, and contractors.
  • Ability to attend City Council/client meetings as needed.
