Civil Engineer - Site Development
About the role
The Opportunity In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Focus on the delivery of civil site development projects and will assist in the design, construction, and project management of a wide variety of projects involving grading design, stormwater design, erosion control design culvert design, and pavement design, etc.
- Professional will have hands-on involvement in permitting process.
- Professional will have significant interaction with multi-disciplinary internal teams and external clients.
Responsibilities
Perform design of projects from the conceptual and bid phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set by the project managers based off client needs.
Assist the Engineering Manager in maintaining project schedules and budgets.
Under the direction of the Engineering Manager, interface directly with the client or sub-consultants.
Support business development through writing of technical approaches, scopes of work, and presentation to clients.
Responsible for effective communication with other engineering disciplines and project team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Licensed PE or ability and interest to obtain PE and/or be in active pursuit of registration.
- Thorough understanding of civil site development (i.e., Site Plans, Permitting, Grading, Storm Water Management, Storm Water Design).
- Ability and motivation to lead portions of complex projects with guidance and mentorship.
Qualifications
- Requires a bachelor's degree in engineering from either a recognized accredited program in their home country or the country in which the professional is practicing or equivalent experience in Engineering work.
- Minimum of 5 years related work experience.
Skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Holds an active engineering registration or licensure to support engineer of record (EOR) requirements for BV projects in applicable countries, and supports where necessary.
