Civil/ Mechanical QA/QC Inspector

About the role

Seeking a Construction Site QA/QC Inspector with expertise in Civil and Mechanical inspection for a long term project near Sweetwater, TX. You need 5+ years of relevant construction QC inspection experience in support of heavy industrial, civil and earthwork construction projects. Additional piping inspection experience preferred.

Mob, demob, per diem & paid time off for trips home every 4 weeks will be provided for qualified candidates. The location of the project is near Abilene, Texas, and this is a contract position.

Responsibilities

As a Site QC Civil/Mechanical Construction Inspector, you will assist with leading the site quality program on this EPC project to ensure projects are constructed, tested, inspected, and documented in accordance with the project specifications, governing codes of construction and prime agreements.

• Verify construction is performed in accordance with the contract specifications and drawing requirements through preparatory planning, inspection, and record review.
• Attend preparatory meetings and communicate the contractual quality requirements to the subcontractors so that quality objectives may be achieved.
• Perform a detailed inspection and review at the beginning of each work phase within the subcontract (heavy civil work, concrete application, earthwork, underground piping and utilities, structural steel erection, etc.).
• Interface with client representatives, A/E representatives, & other contractors on a daily basis.
• Coordinate, administer, and/or perform inspection activities, document control, and write reports.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in construction QC inspection.

Pay

Pay offered to a successful candidate will be $53 - 60 per hour, based on several factors including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.

Schedule

Work hours are 8am to 4pm.
