Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor the Civil Engineering team while fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships with municipal, county, state, and federal agencies.
  • Support business development efforts and identify opportunities for continued growth within the civil engineering market.
  • Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for civil engineering projects.
  • Lead the planning, design, and implementation of civil engineering projects.
  • Perform engineering evaluations, design calculations, and cost estimates for infrastructure projects.
  • Develop innovative solutions for stormwater management, drainage, collection, conveyance, and pond design.
  • Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with applicable engineering standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage multiple civil engineering projects from proposal through completion.
  • Develop project budgets, schedules, and resource plans.
  • Monitor project performance to ensure quality, budget, and schedule objectives are achieved.
  • Prepare technical reports, progress reports, and client deliverables.
  • Coordinate with jurisdictional agencies regarding permitting requirements.
  • Prepare and review permit applications and supporting documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Work closely with engineers, designers, and technical support staff.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.
  • Promote continuous improvement and technical excellence throughout the organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain state licensure.
  • 15+ years of civil engineering experience.
  • Strong experience with stormwater management, drainage, pond design, collection systems, and conveyance.
  • Experience managing infrastructure projects for municipal, county, state, and federal clients.
  • Strong project management and budgeting experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
  • Experience using ICPR or other state-approved hydraulic/hydrologic modeling software.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365.
  • Previous leadership or team management experience within a consulting engineering environment.
