Roles and Responsibilities
- Independently manage a civil litigation defense caseload from inception through trial preparation.
- Take depositions, argue motions, and prepare cases for trial in state and federal courts.
- Conduct legal research and analyze matters involving tort, constitutional, and commercial litigation issues.
- Oversee and manage paralegal and legal assistant work product.
- Maintain strong client communication while advocating professionally and ethically.
Qualifications
- Licensed and in good standing with the applicable state bar, with no disciplinary issues.
- 2+ years of litigation experience, with civil defense experience preferred.
- Experience handling commercial transportation, governmental defense, or related litigation matters is preferred.
- Strong academic credentials and knowledge of legal precedents.
- Proficiency with Office 365, excellent organization, and communication skills.
