Civil Litigation Attorney

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation matters through all phases of litigation.
• Draft and review pleadings, motions, briefs, and legal correspondence.
• Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on complex legal issues.
• Handle written discovery, document review, and depositions.
• Attend court hearings, mediations, arbitrations, and settlement conferences.
• Develop case strategy and provide legal counsel to clients.
• Prepare cases for trial and assist with trial proceedings as needed.
• Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and court personnel.
• Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with court deadlines.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active license and good standing with the applicable state bar.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience preferred.
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical abilities.
• Experience handling discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a legal team.
• Trial experience is a plus.
