Civil General Superintendent – Primoris Energy Services – Hubbard, TX
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Civil General Superintendent to lead and oversee all field construction activities for a long-term construction project located in Hubbard, TX.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall field leadership for all phases of civil construction operations.
- Direct and coordinate superintendents, foremen, craft personnel, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Develop and implement detailed work plans that align with project schedules and milestones.
- Ensure all work is executed according to project specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Proactively identify and resolve construction challenges to minimize project delays.
Scheduling & Productivity
- Coordinate daily, weekly, and long-range construction schedules.
- Monitor manpower, equipment utilization, and productivity metrics.
- Work closely with project management to maintain project milestones and critical path activities.
Quality Control
- Oversee quality assurance and quality control efforts on-site.
- Verify construction activities meet contract requirements and engineering specifications.
- Cookordination inspections and testing with owners, engineers, and regulatory agencies.
- Ensure deficiencies are corrected promptly and effectively.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10+ years of civil construction experience, with at least 5 years in a Superintendent or General Superintendent role.
- Proven experience managing large-scale civil construction projects.
- Strong understanding of:
- Earthwork and grading
- Underground utilities
- Excavation
- Concrete construction
- Site development
- Drainage and stormwater systems
- Heavy equipment operations
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
- Strong knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and construction best practices.
- Experience on industrial, infrastructure, energy, renewable energy, or large commercial site projects.
- Experience utilizing project management and scheduling software.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
