Civil Foreman - Port Arthur, TX

Bo-Mac Contractors, Ltd. in the Port Arthur, TX area is seeking a Civil Foreman to lead and direct field crews on civil construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in alignment with project specifications.

About the role

The Civil Foreman serves as the frontline leader on the jobsite—coordinating daily activities, managing crews and equipment, and maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise field crews in daily civil construction operations
• Plan and coordinate daily work activities in alignment with project schedules and superintendent direction
• Ensure all work is performed safely and in compliance with company and site-specific safety standards
• Conduct daily safety meetings (toolbox talks) and promote a strong safety culture
• Read and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to guide field execution
• Coordinate equipment, materials, and manpower to meet production goals
• Monitor productivity and crew performance; adjust resources as needed
• Maintain accurate daily reports, including labor, equipment, and production tracking
• Ensure quality control standards are met and minimize rework
• Communicate effectively with superintendents, project managers, and other trades on-site
• Identify and resolve field issues proactively to keep projects on track
• Train, mentor, and develop crew members

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in civil construction, with leadership or foreman experience preferred
• Required experience working in petrochemical or refinery environments
• Strong understanding of civil construction practices (site prep, excavation, concrete, utilities, etc.)
• Proven ability to lead crews and manage jobsite operations
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and physically demanding conditions
