Civil Engineering Technology Adjunct Instructor

This position is based at the Thornley Campus. The selected candidate must also be willing to provide online instruction and services as needed.

About the role

CET 245 focuses on the basic principles of cost estimating for commercial and residential construction projects, including quantity takeoffs, pricing, bid preparation, and industry-standard estimating practices.

Responsibilities

• Teach assigned CET 245 course(s)
• Design and develop instructional materials and course content as needed
• Assess and evaluate student performance
• Maintain accurate academic records
• Adapt to evolving instructional technologies and delivery methods

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a strongly related field
• Related industry/engineering/surveying experience
• Unofficial transcripts must be submitted with the application

Qualifications

• Preferred: civil engineering or architecture degree
• Post-secondary teaching experience is a plus
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in information technology
