About the role
The Civil Engineering Specialist position in Kalispell is responsible for conducting in-depth engineering and analysis, administering contracts, overseeing projects, and project design. This role may serve as a lead worker and reports to the Engineering Project Manager. It is part of a career ladder with advancement opportunities.

Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or a closely related field of study.
- Experience: Minimum 6 months to 2 years of engineering or directly related work experience for Entry Level; minimum 2 years to 4 years of engineering or directly related work experience for Top Level.
- Certifications/Licenses: Proof of passage of the Fundamental Engineering Exam (FE) for all levels.
Qualifications
- Develops sufficient engineering knowledge, skill, and judgment in a specific practice area.
- Broad knowledge of engineering practices and principles, construction methods, processes, and procedures, computer-assisted drafting and design software, and engineering techniques.
- Journey level knowledge of federal guidelines and procedures regarding road design and construction.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
Skills
