Civil Engineering Project Engineer
About the role
The Project Engineer will collaborate with civil engineers, land planners, landscape architects, and CAD designers to design various types of land development projects.
Responsibilities
- Civil design for residential, commercial, and municipal projects
- Perform construction permitting for soil erosion/sedimentation control, NPDES stormwater discharge, sanitary sewer, watermain, EGLE, wetland/floodplain, and MDOT commercial driveway
- AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting
- Participate in site visits, agency meetings, and municipal meetings as needed
- Communicate effectively with team members and clients
Requirements
- Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering
- AutoCAD Civil 3D
- 5+ years of experience in private land development civil engineering design preferred
- Professional Engineer Licensure or ability to obtain within 2 years

Schedule
This is a full-time, onsite position. Some flexibility in hours is permitted, but the employee must be available during the standard work hours of 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Physical Demands
This position is a combination of sedentary work, with some field and travel-related work. An employee is regularly required to stand, sit, walk, reach, type, talk, hear, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, climb, push, pull, carry, and lift. An employee may also be required to drive, traverse wooded and/or uneven terrain, enter structures, use ladders, walk on roofs, enter small spaces, and work in various weather conditions.
Travel
Occasional travel will be required as part of the Project Engineer role.
