About the role
A growing engineering consulting firm is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Team Leader to help expand operations, develop client relationships, and lead a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, mentor, and lead a team of engineering professionals.
- Provide leadership and oversight for municipal infrastructure and private development projects.
- Build and strengthen client relationships while supporting business development initiatives.
- Lead proposal development, responses to RFPs, and contract negotiations.
- Serve as a technical resource for project management, quality assurance, and staff development.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to execute strategic growth initiatives and expand market presence.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Iowa or ability to obtain.
- 8+ years of progressive civil engineering experience, including project management and/or business development responsibilities.
- Experience with municipal infrastructure, land development, water resources, transportation, permitting, and construction projects.
- Strong client-facing, leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to grow teams, manage projects, and develop business opportunities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.

Pay
$125,000 - $165,000 per year
