Civil Engineering Intern

About the role

TRC is seeking highly motivated and diverse Civil Engineering Interns for its Summer 2026 internship program out of our Irvine, CA office. This is a paid full-time position anticipated to last from June through August 2026 (flexible), with the potential to transition into a full-time role upon graduation.

Responsibilities

• Support various project tasks including regulatory requirements/review estimates, research, procurement support, etc.
• Perform data entry, data management, data evaluation, and data presentation
• Prepare reports, plans, and specifications for clients
• May work on field assignments as needed
• Support the preparation of reports, plans, and specifications for clients
• Perform other related duties and responsibilities as necessary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Pursuing Bachelor or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• Minimum GPA of 3.0
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Solid technical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented person
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint)
• Experience with engineering software applications (AutoCad, MathCad, ESRI, HydroCad, WaterCad, ARCView GIS, etc.) is preferred but not required

Compensation

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.

Salary Range

USD $19.00 - USD $28.00 /Hr.
