About the role
Wilson & Company is looking for a Civil Engineering Intern focused on Transportation Engineering to join our Kansas City Office. The position offers hands-on work applying classroom experience to real-world projects and opportunities to envision a future career.
Responsibilities
- Solve complex problems
- Assist project managers
- Collaborate with partners to produce clients' visions for the future built environment
Requirements
- Civil engineering student with an interest in transportation engineering, such as highway engineering, municipal roadway engineering, and drainage engineering
- Significant hands-on and tutorial training on relevant civil works careers
- Highly responsible and dependable
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Positive attitude and impeccable work ethic
- Ability to work with a team under the direct supervision of a Project Engineer
Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Ability to commute to/from school to the office and work in an office environment
- No remote work anticipated
- Capacity to manage and maintain a sustainable balance between school, internship, and personal demands
