About the role

Wilson & Company is looking for a Civil Engineering Intern focused on Transportation Engineering to join our Kansas City Office. The position offers hands-on work applying classroom experience to real-world projects and opportunities to envision a future career.

Responsibilities

  • Solve complex problems
  • Assist project managers
  • Collaborate with partners to produce clients' visions for the future built environment

Requirements

  • Civil engineering student with an interest in transportation engineering, such as highway engineering, municipal roadway engineering, and drainage engineering
  • Significant hands-on and tutorial training on relevant civil works careers
  • Highly responsible and dependable
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Positive attitude and impeccable work ethic
  • Ability to work with a team under the direct supervision of a Project Engineer

Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, primarily Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Ability to commute to/from school to the office and work in an office environment
  • No remote work anticipated
  • Capacity to manage and maintain a sustainable balance between school, internship, and personal demands

Pay
