Civil Engineering Intern (Airfields) - Summer 2027
About the Role
We currently seek a Civil Engineering Intern for our Airfields team in our Austin, TX office. The Civil Engineering Intern will be mentored by and collaborate with top Engineering associates on a variety of conventional and design-build projects. These projects combine innovative Texas roadway and/or Aviation design with a strong knowledge of technical standards to exceed client expectations and provide cost-effective solutions. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience and a deeper understanding of the Infrastructure Engineering Industry.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine calculations requiring knowledge and application of basic engineering principles
- Prepare and revise plan documents and details
- Collect and prepare data for evaluation
- Perform engineering tasks with the use of computer-assisted design software and equipment
- Provide support to engineering and project management associates
Requirements
- Current student pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering at an ABET-accredited university
- Anticipated graduation date between December 2026 and May 2027
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work on multiple assignments simultaneously
- Strong work ethic aligning with the company’s mission and core values
Preferred Qualifications
- 2.5 GPA or above
- Prior internship or related experience
- AutoCAD and/or Microstation experience
- Specific interest in Airfield Design
